About Us

Dr. Iyengar was born in Manchester, Connecticut and raised in Puyallup, Washington, spending his formative years in the South Puget Sound region. He attended Bellarmine Preparatory School, graduating as Valedictorian and entered the highly selective eight-year combined BS/MD program at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

As a medical student, he distinguished himself by receiving awards and national recognition for his basic science and clinical research work. Dr. Iyengar worked closely with lifelong friends and mentors at Brown who inspired him to pursue a career in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He then completed the prestigious and rigorous six year integrated plastic surgery residency at Yale University.

Dr. Iyengar pursued additional advanced training as a fellow in hand, upper extremity and microvascular reconstruction at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. In this clinically busy year, he managed complex trauma, nerve/brachial plexus pathology, pediatric congenital hand anomalies and a high volume of common upper extremity concerns including peripheral compression neuropathies such as carpal tunnel and age-related osteoarthritis.

He has published numerous articles in peer reviewed publications in the realms of hand and upper extremity surgery, pediatric craniofacial surgery and aesthetic surgery of the face, breast and body with well known leaders in the field. Dr. Iyengar is passionate about helping restore and enhance form and function to his patients. He is looking forward to bringing his skillset back home to serve his community.
